DOWNTON ABBEY WITHIN REACH AT NYC EXHIBITION

DAE_TT-Tagline

Based on the beloved television show, be transported to post-Edwardian England at Downton Abbey: The Exhibition where the characters and the iconic house come to life. Guests will be immersed in the fascinating social history, culture, and some of the most memorable moments including the iconic costumes and sets from the show’s six-season run including Mrs. Patmore’s kitchen and the servants’ quarters.

“I’m not a romantic, but even I concede that the heart does not exist solely for the purpose to pump blood.”-Violet, the Countess Dowager

Relive the romance, scandal, betrayal, heartache, and passion this spring! Now through April 2, 2018, Downton Abbey moves to America to give fans a taste of the beloved Crawley lifestyle and estate.

Experience the history, the fashion, and the house in what the Hollywood Reporter calls “a fully immersive experience.” Located in a Victorian-era building in downtown Manhattan, the three-story exhibition features full-scale sets designed by the show’s Emmy-awarding winning set designer Dolan Woods. From Mrs. Patmore’s kitchen downstairs to the oft-scandalous bedroom of Lady Mary Crawley upstairs, visitors will taste the exact footprint of the Yorkshire estate.

“I think the fans will just go, ‘Oh, my God. This is really like what it was and what it is,’ down to the props and everything. It’s not phony, not any part of it.” Lesley Nicole, Mrs. Patmore

Entire scenes from the estate have been painstakingly recreated welcoming history buffs and devoted fans alike to bridge their favorite fiction with an up-close and interactive reality. High-tech touches include a hologram of Mrs. Hughes and welcome videos from the original cast of characters. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to explore the history surrounding the period drama from the sinking of the Titanic to the eventual decline of the British aristocracy.
