MEN IN BLACK TRILOGY FILMING LOCATIONS

It makes perfect sense that the fast-moving and suspenseful Men in Black trilogy filmed several scenes from each of the three movies in action-packed Manhattan. In fact, the NYC TV & Movie Tour bus travels through the many different areas where Agent Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) and Agent Jay (Will Smith) fought the extraterrestrial aliens who wanted to blow up the earth.

Chinatown

Men in Black III featured a battle with ‘aliens’ in a Chinatown restaurant. This scene was one just one that was cut from the Chinese version of the film. In total, 13 minutes of the original film was removed from the version released in China because the Chinese government found parts offensive, like when Agent J, (Will Smith) erases the memories of a group of Chinese bystanders.

Brooklyn Battery Tunnel Air Shaft

The Men in Black Headquarters, featured in all three of the Men in Black films is where the Men in Black agents process and interact with the aliens. In actuality, this building in downtown Manhattan is just a ventilation station for the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and is located on the North Side ofBattery Place in New York City.

Battery Park

In the first Men in Black, Battery Park is the location Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) bringsAgent J to explain to him the seriousness behind joining the agency to the future and that if he decides to go ahead, his life will never be the same again.

Empire Diner

In Men in Black II Agent J, takes his inadequate partners here to get “neutralized”. He also brings Laura (Rosario Dawson) here on a date.

McGraw-Hill Companies Building

In Men In Black II, Jeff, the subway alien, makes his first appearance at the McGraw-Hill Companies Building located at 1221 6th Ave., when he sticks a little flower up through the subway grate.

Guggenheim Museum

When Agent J encounters his first alien, it instantly turns to a dramatic chase scene through Manhattan, eventually leading Agent J to climb up Frank Lloyd Wright’s white spiral stairs in the Guggenheim Museum located at 1071 Fifth Avenue at East 89th Street.

Famous Ben’s Pizza in SoHo

This is the pizza place where Laura works in Men in Black II.
