THE BEST NYC TV SHOW AND MOVIE THEME SONGS
1.Ray Parker Jr. – Ghostbusters Ghostbusters
Now this is what you call a timeless classic. This song served as the theme song for the iconic movie, Ghostbusters (1984).It doesn’t matter if you’re 9 or 90 years old. You’ve heard this iconic song at least a few times in your life. Don’t tell me you can hear it in your head now. Sorry this catchy tune will now be stuck in your head for at least a week now.
2. Nancy Sinatra – These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ Oceans 8
While this song was not made solely for this film. It perfectly encompasses the fierce energy these women bring to the movie. “These boots are made for walking and that’s just what they’ll do. One of these days they’re gonna walk all over you”.This all-female team of thieves needed a good background song to pull off their heist and boy did this one pull it off. This song is another classic that no matter your age you’ve heard it and probably tapped your foot too.
3.Hustle-Main Title Theme American Hustle
No lyrics. Just vibes. This song probably won’t be one we’ll be listening to on our 10 hour road trip but it captures the feel of the show Hustle perfectly. Thirty seconds into it you’ll feel like you’re getting a taste of corporate America. By minute two you’ll suddenly find yourself in a cubicle with a cup of coffee in your hand. Talk about taking things literally.
