FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF

Ferris Bueller, a soon to be high school graduate from the Chicago suburbs, fakes an illness two months before graduation. With his father’s stolen Ferrari, he takes a wild trip into the city. His friends come along for the rebellious ride, all making excuses to cut class. On this ride, there is no adventure too small.
The cast of this movie is composed of but not limited to Matthew Broderick starring as Ferris Bueler, as well as Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, Jennifer Grey, and Jeffrey Jones. Matthew Broderick brings this role to life as it was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. He as well is recognized for his voice acting as “adult Simba” in The Lion King, and Leo Bloom in the Broadway musical, and film, The Producers.

While there are many fans of the movie, many don’t know the “fun facts” behind it. Firstly, Ferris Bueler’s actual day off was June 5 1985. Considering how complex and incredible the plotline is, it is astonishing to note that the entire script of the movie was written in a mere 6 days. Not only this, but you would not believe who else auditioned for the role of Ferris Bueler. Everyone wanted to be him! Rob Lowe, Johnny Depp, John Cusack, Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, Robert Downey Jr, and Michael J. Fox were all considered for his part!

Some of the best parts of the movie were probably filmed right around the corner from you and you didn’t even know. See it for yourself!
