After trying to acquire the services of a prostitute, he hires Lana for a night. When the bill arrives in the morning, he is shocked to see the quite larger number. Who doesn’t know and love Tom Cruise? In Risky Business, Cruise is the young, charming, and impulsive teenage boy that gets himself into trouble. Marking a big launch of his career, Tom Cruise also stars in Top Gun, Mission Impossible, Jack Reacher, The Mummy, and The Outsiders. With Rebecca De Mornay and Joe Pantoliano on his side, it is impossible not to love this movie!
When was the last time you decided to be impulsive, have fun, and simply let go? Joel does this and ends up on the trip of a lifetime, and one he hasn’t planned for. Now, with limited time, he must set things straight before he gets caught. He’s in for a real treat, and you can join him on his journey:
- The Goodsen family home, and Joel’s home base- 1258 Linden Avenue, Highland Park
- The hotel where Joel finally meets Lana for the first time- 140 East Walton Place
- Joel’s dad’s Porsche falls into the lake- Lake Michigan
- The iconic diner, and meet up spot- 481 Roger Williams Avenue
At the time of filming, Tom Cruise was 20, but the directors wanted him to appear to still be in high school. To do this, they had him work out 7 days a week in order to lose 10 pounds. He then had to eat fatty foods to get an appearance of having “baby fat”. To keep you guessing, many of the scenes were also improvised. You know when Joel dances to “Old Time Rock N Roll”? That was all Tom Cruise! He was told just to dance to the music!
