THE SUITE LIFE OF ZACK & CODY LOCATIONS

Looking to stay at the Tipton Hotel? The Suite Life of Zack and Cody was one of Disney’s most successful live action series, and tells the story of two boys living in Boston at the fictional hotel. Running from 2005 to 2008, the sitcom was so successful that it inspired the spin-off The Suite Life on Deck, which ran from 2008 to 2011, and The Suite Life Movie, ending both series.

Similar to shows like Friends, Suite Life was a sitcom filmed mostly in Hollywood on studio sets, but the exterior shots of the front of the building were filmed on location. These shots are in Boston at the Fairmont Copley Plaza and of the Vancouver Hotel, which stands in for the Tipton. This hotel is one of Back Bay’s finest destinations, and is right next to Copley Square. Occasionally, there are scenes where the twins and their friends venture out of the hotel and visit locations like Fenway Park. While not filmed in Boston, the show still places this city as the perfect backdrop to a comedy about growing up in a luxury hotel.
