The con man, Frank (Leonardo DiCaprio), has passed as a doctor, lawyer and pilot. Carl becomes obsessed with tracking Frank and only ends up being revealed in the pursuit.

  • The movie was filmed in various locations including many locations being in New York and Los Angeles:
  • They filmed many scenes at the Miami Mutual bank which is located at Union Station, Alameda Street in downtown Los Angeles.
  • They also filmed at the Tropicana Motel Entrance which is at the Roosevelt Hotel rear on Hawthorn Avenue in Hollywood.
  • The 60s airport vibe was actually filmed in the TWA Building at JFK airport.

Some interesting facts about the film include that it took 22 years for the original story to be turned from a book into a film. Although Steven Spielberg directed the final film, there were many other directors in charge of the film before him. Also, Leonardo DiCaprio had over 100 wardrobe changes throughout the film.
