THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE

Gainesville, Florida attorney, Kevin Lomax (Keanu Reeves), has never lost a case. He now has to defend a school teacher, Lloyd Gettys, against a charge of child molestation. He soon realizes that his client is guilty and has to figure out a way to still win this case no matter what.

Most of the filming for the movie took place in New York:

  • Many scenes were filmed at Trump Tower.
  • John Milton’s apartment was on 94th Street at Fifth Avenue, Carnegie Hills in Manhattan.
  • The hometown of Kevin Lomax and a few scenes were shot in Gainesville, Florida.
  • The holy water boiling scene took place at Central Presbyterian Church on the East Side of Manhattan .

The film won the Saturn Award for Best Horror Film. Pacino was also nominated for the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain.
